The Senator John Heinz History Center will recognize the lifetime achievement of Kim Tillotson Fleming, along with 4 other individuals with deep Pittsburgh ties, during the 24th History Makers Award Dinner, Friday, May 20 at the Westin Convention Center/Pittsburgh Hotel.
Fleming is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pittsburgh-based investment advisory and wealth management firm, Hefren-Tillotson, Inc.
A Western Pennsylvania History Maker is a living individual that represents the commitment to excellence that has defined the local community throughout the years and profoundly contributes to the history and collective heritage of the Pittsburgh region.
In addition to being Chairman and CEO of Hefren-Tillotson, Fleming serves on the boards of Allegheny College, Allegheny Conference on Community Development, The Buhl Foundation, Dollar Bank, EQT GP Holdings, The Pittsburgh Foundation, and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA).
In 2013, Fleming was named Chairperson of the United Way of Allegheny County’s annual development campaign and co-chaired the United Way’s Women Leadership Council in 2007 and 2008. In 2004 and 2011, she was named an Athena Award finalist and received the 2005 YWCA “A Tribute to Women Leadership” award for business.
In April 2012, Carlow University awarded Fleming with the Women of Spirit Award for Values, which recognizes a woman who leads her company to higher realms of excellence and service by personal example and commitment to others.
Proceeds from the 24th Annual History Makers Award Dinner support the educational programs and exhibitions at the History Center. Past History Maker awardees include the Honorable Dan Rooney, Fred Rogers, Franco Harris, David McCullough, Michael Keaton, and many others.
