James Beck, Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor at Hefren-Tillotson wealth management, has earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy – CAP(R) – professional designation from The American College of Financial Services.
The CAP(R) designation will allow Beck to assist his financial planning clients with gift planning counsel and to help advance philanthropy in his local community.
Working in Hefren-Tillotsons Butler office, Beck specializes in assisting clients accumulate and preserve their personal wealth. Utilizing Hefren-Tillotsons MASTERPLAN process, Beck guides a variety of clients including retirees, small business owners, corporations, high net-worth individuals and young investors.
A Certified Financial Planner, Beck joined Hefren-Tillotson in 1986 and became a principal of the firm in 1989 and managed the Butler office.
Jim takes particular pleasure in helping his charitably inclined clients discover their ability to make charitable gifts as well as finding creative ways to fulfill those desires, said Kim Tillotson Fleming, Hefren-Tillotson Chief Executive Officer. Jim has been active in the Western PA West Virginia board of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for over 30 years and is now serving a third term on the National Board where he is a member of the Investment Committee and the Advancement Committee. He also serves on the Executive and Scholarship Committees at the West Penn Golf Association.
